| I'm sitting outside right now in central Texas
listening to a mixture of Psalters, a lab mix pup and a Bichon pup play
fighting/growling, and the sound of 50-caliburs in the distance. Some
of the troops are out on the range and I can hear it all right from my
porch. It's kind of chilling...just knowing that they are practicing to
kill and destroy fellow human beings.
I wonder if it has even dawned on these guys. Or has everyone just been brainwashed in some way? Or maybe some are too fearful to say "No". Or maybe some just don't care. Or maybe some just don't see what the
big deal is. I don't know. :( I haven't figured it all out yet.

| Luke 18:18-29
18A certain ruler asked him, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
19"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God
alone. 20You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery, do not
murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father
and mother.'[b]"
21"All these I have kept since I was a boy," he said.
22When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing.
Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have
treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
23When he heard
this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth. 24Jesus
looked at him and said, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the
kingdom of God! 25Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the
eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
26Those who heard this asked, "Who then can be saved?"
27Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."
28Peter said to him, "We have left all we had to follow you!"
29"I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home
or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom
of God 30will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in
the age to come, eternal life."

| Dude... this post is just 3 days short of 2 years since the last time I've posted.
Haven't touched Xanga in a long time. I was on one of my mommy forums and someone mentioned Xanga in one of their posts and I remembered that I had a Xanga. Had to resend for my password..totally forgot it!
So...does anyone ever read these things any more? Is it worth updating?
Love, .ali. (now an Army wife and mama) | | |
| Wow, I haven't updated this thing in 5 months. Oh well.
So there's so much new stuff going on now. I think most of you know now, but I'll say it again anyways... We're going to have a baby! Haha, we were in our 5 month of marriage when we found out! Man, I'll be 37 when the kid's 18! And Matt will be 40! (He just turned 22 on Aug. 6th!) We'll still have our whole lives ahead of us! Haha, that's awesome. We're due in February...Valentine's Day, actually. That would be so awesome. We don't know the sex of it yet, but we're hoping for a boy. But as long as it's healthy, I won't care. So far, we like the name Tristan Bjorn. But we still have 6 months to decide, no rush. Let me know if you think of any names!
And...we're moving back to good 'ol Waynesvegas! Oh man, I am so glad. Scottsdale, AZ is not my kinda place. It's soooo hot all the time, even at night. And it's rained only 4 times since I've been here!!!! 4 times in 8 months! No way, gotta have my rain. I'm an outside person, and I just can't be outside here. You literally cook in the sun. There's no trees, no grass, no woods, no waterfalls! Can't stand it... So, my awesome dad is flying here on August 20th (Matt's last day at the culinary school), and we're going to leave early in the morning on the 21st, which will put us in NC on that Monday (the 23rd). It's going to be a looong trip. 3 days. Ouch. But hopefully it'll go smoothly. We're going to ship some packages and then stuff the rest in the car. It's going to be way cramped. Oh man, I can't wait for winter! I won't be able to snowboard or anything, since it's too risky for the baby, but I'll be up on the mountain alot filming and photographing Matt. Alright, well that's it for now. Still have to do a little bit of packing here and there before Friday.
I'm so glad I'm coming home and bringing the most gorgeous guy with me!

| Sooo... Arizona is getting way hot. It's gotten up to 90 already. But man that sun feels great. We've been swimming alot lately. There's a heated pool that feels awesome at night, it's right next to the complex's gym. We got tickets today for the 311 show coming up (Tuesday). That's going to be way fun. Just wish Giovanna could be here for it. Gio (my best friend...who is still in NC) is coming to see me on April 21! I can't wait! And then I'm going back to visit my parents. I'm flying back to NC with Giovanna. Air trip! Woot! I'm so stoked! We went to the mall today and Matt got us some ice cream cones. And then we went to some store and Matt bought me a couple of cute tank tops. Well, I applied at like 12 places in the mall. Just random stores that had the "Now Hiring" sign in the windows. I'm out. You got to...you got to...you got to come original! mrs.Cameron | | |
